Planning estimate. Required C/N values are the AWGN and i.i.d. Rayleigh thresholds in ATSC A/327 (Tables 4.3 to 4.6), with no margin added. Capacity is calculated from the A/322 waveform: 6.912 MHz sampling, 6913, 13825 or 27649 carriers, scattered pilots, about 0.65% continual pilots, bootstrap, preamble and whole FEC frames, and with the pilot pattern limit set where the guard interval is at most 75% of the pilot echo range. It does not include layered division multiplexing, channel bonding, MISO, carrier reduction, time interleaver limits or L1 detail size, so confirm a real design against ATSC A/322 and A/327 or your exciter vendor's tool. This tool is not affiliated with ATSC, ONE Media or ENENSYS.
